What this covers
Everything else on your roadmap is a feature. This is the part that has to keep working at 3am when a customer is asking why their transaction is stuck.
API design
resource modelling, versioning, error contracts that mean something
Auth and access
sessions, keys, scopes, audit trails
Event-driven backends
queues, retries, idempotency, dead-letter handling
Data modelling
Postgres schema and indexes built around real query patterns
Caching and rate limiting
protecting the database from the wrong traffic
Infrastructure as code
environments reproducible from a repository, not a wiki page
Observability
logs, metrics, traces, and alerts that fire before customers notice
Recovery
backups that are tested, restores that have been rehearsed
Schema before endpoints.
The database model is the contract. Endpoints are a view over it, and a bad model is a bad API no matter how clean the controller looks.
Contracts before controllers.
Request and response shapes and error codes get written down first, then implemented. This is the cheapest place to catch a disagreement.
Load before launch.
We test the shape of your traffic, not just the volume — because traffic shaped like a burst of one heavy request breaks systems that survive a steady flood.
Observability before scale.
You cannot scale what you cannot see. Dashboards and alert thresholds land before the first real customer, not after the first outage.
Runbook before handover.
Every alert has a documented response. Every failure mode has an owner. If either of those is missing at handover, the work isn't finished.

How we ship infrastructure
/ service · 03 — what you get
What you get on delivery
- API documentation with working examples
- Schema diagram and full migration history
- Dashboards and alert rules wired to real thresholds
- A runbook naming each failure mode and its response
- A tested backup and restore procedure
- An infrastructure repository you can rebuild an environment from
/ service · 04 — the honest part
What we will tell you honestly
If your product does not need distributed infrastructure, we will say so. A single Postgres instance and one application process will carry more users than most teams assume, and it is far cheaper to reason about. We design for the scale you will reach, not the scale you are worried about.
